FAQs

  • Our main focus is servicing and maintenance — keeping systems running safely, efficiently, and for as long as possible. We do take on installations, but only when time allows. We’d rather focus on quality, care, and compliance than compete with cut-price install quotes. Keeping our install work limited also means we can respond to breakdowns and urgent service calls promptly when our regular clients need us most.

  • We have two simple, upfront pricing models:

    For Breakdowns:

    • Our standard call-out fee is $220 (inc. GST).

    • This is a flat fee that covers our technician's travel and the first full hour of on-site diagnostic work to find the fault.

    • If the problem is complex and needs more diagnostic time, our technician will provide a quote before proceeding. Any repair work (parts and labour) is also quoted separately

    For Routine Servicing/Maintenance:

    • Our preventative maintenance pricing starts at $220 (inc. GST) for a single split system.

    • Since the final price depends on the type and number of systems you have (e.g., split systems, ducted), the best way to get an accurate price is to call us or submit an online enquiry here

  • Yes, all of our technicians are fully licensed air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics, and Artarmon Air is fully licensed and insured with ARCtick authorisation (RTA60391) and Contractor Licence (394793c).

  • All electrical work required for our services is carried out by Lectricus (www.lectricus.com.au), a licensed and reputable electrical contractor. We choose to partner with Lectricus due to their exceptional attention to detail, strict compliance with Australian standards, and consistently high-quality workmanship. Any electrical work completed as part of our projects is performed by Lectricus and comes with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) as required by NSW regulations. If you require electrical work independently of our services, we highly recommend contacting Lectricus directly.

  • We service just about anything — from our preferred brands, Mitsubishi and Daikin, to a one-of-a-kind contraption your great-uncle Harold cobbled together in the 1950s.
If it transfers heat from one place to another using the vapour-compression cycle, we’ll work on it.

  • All parts we supply come with the manufacturer’s warranty, and our workmanship is backed by a 5-year guarantee. We take pride in doing things properly — if something we’ve done isn’t right, we’ll make it right. Simple as that.

  • Artarmon Air services various regions throughout Sydney, NSW. We're dedicated to providing top-quality air conditioning services across these communities.

  • You can call us directly at 0430517009 or you can book online by tapping here

  • Our response times can vary depending on workload, but we always do our best to get to you promptly. If it’s urgent, just let us know — we’ll do everything we can to fit you in the same day.

  • We don’t offer after-hours emergency callouts — most aircon issues need specific parts that can only be sourced during business hours. If your system’s completely down, get in touch and we’ll make you a priority for the next available day.

  • Just clear a bit of space around where we’ll be working, and make sure kids and pets are secure — we love meeting them, but once tools and ladders come out, it’s best they watch from the sidelines.

  • Indicators include strange noises, a sudden increase in electricity costs, poor system performance, or bad smells coming from the indoor unit.

  • It varies; for systems used all day year-round, quarterly maintenance is recommended. If it's used seasonally, have it checked before peak usage.

  • We welcome reviews on Google or Facebook.

  • Old systems are safely degassed on site, with all refrigerant reclaimed and returned to authorised wholesalers for proper processing. Once that’s done, the indoor and outdoor units are taken for metal recycling.
Everything we do follows the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 1989 and the Refrigerant Handling Code of Practice 2025 — because doing the right thing for the environment isn’t optional.
